One of task of KJM UGM is accompanying and ensuring study program at Universitas Gadjah Mada obtain accreditation and certification with the highest result. Therefore, a variety of activities related to accreditation and certification have been implemented so far by KJM.

The activities carried out by the end of October 2013, i.e.:

1. Accompanying study program in the process of preparation of accreditation documents BAN-PT (optional) and performing a simulation of assessment documents BAN-PT accreditation of study programs that will be sent (mandatory)
2. Making Rector of UGM pronouncement letter in order BAN-PT accreditation
3. Being coordinator of ISO 9001:2008 certification for several units in UGM
4. Implementing AUN Actual Quality Assessment for a number of study programs (Medical Education, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Legal Studies, Dentistry, Animal Sciences and Industry, and English)
5. AUN implement DIES Assessment for a number of study programs (Communication Studies and Public Policy Management)

Quality Assurance Office of Universitas Gadjah Mada (KJM UGM) receives a visit from the Jakarta State University (UNJ) as many as 25 participants. KJM represented by Prof. Dr. Kusminarto (Chief of KJM) and Drs. Soeprapto, S.U. (Head of the National Accreditation). The delegation received KJM team in the Multipurpose Room of UGM.

UNJ presented the implementation plan of internal quality assurance system for higher education (SPMI-PT), and they ask for information about the implementation experiences of SPMI-PT by UGM.

YOGYAKARTA – Study Program of Communication Sciences and Management and Public Policy, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) UGM, turn the accreditation assessment of the ASEAN University Network on Higher Education for Quality Assurance (AUN-DIES). Visitation accreditation process of the ASEAN regional accrediting agencies conducted in order to gain recognition AUN-QA accreditation where GMU joined together 26 universities from 10 countries of Southeast Asia.

Rector of UGM, Prof. Dr. Pratikno, M.Soc., Sc., said that the process of accreditation of AUN-QA at two study programs in Faculty of Social and Political Sciences aims to improve the quality of education at UGM is recognized not only nationally but also regionally and internationally. “We support the AUN-QA as one of the regional accrediting agencies,” said Pratikno while receiving the accreditation assessment team AUN-QA in the multi-media room, on Wednesday (18/9).

On this occasion assessors in charge are: Dr. Oliver Vettori from the Vienna University of Austria, Mr. Frank Niedermeier University of Potsdam Germany, Dr. Wyona Patalinghug of De la Salle University Philippines, Mr. Montaya San of the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC) Cambodia, and Ms. Danisa Rufiana of National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) Indonesia.

Lead Assessor of AUN, Dr.. Wyona Patalighug, said UGM is one of the 26 Universities that are members of the AUN-QA. Since 2007 up until today, there are 40 study programs that received accreditation assessment team AUN, including 6 that have been accredited study program previously UGM. He added that all study programs that apply for accreditation AUN-QA documents required to submit a self-assessment report. Of these documents will be assessed by the assessment team through accreditation visitation to the study program concerned with reference to the standards set AUN-QA

Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada will held an event The Benchmark of Quality for Business Education Worldwide, relating the accreditation of AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). This event will be held on March 3-5, 2014.
